Patchwork at Koonung Cottage

The patchwork group was established in 1997. It is run as a self-help group where members discuss their current projects and patchwork problems.
Anita showed me how to make my first completely hand-sewn patchwork quilt. Some members visit patchwork shows and attend patchwork retreats.

Each year the group donates a quilt to the Koonung Cottage Christmas raffle. Members also donate quilts to the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Sewing gets rid of frustration, but it’s about companionship as well.
